Encore Academy of Dance periodically hosts mini-sessions and workshops throughout the year. These consist of not only Encore instructors, but instructors from other schools inside and out of North Carolina. They are a great time for students to experience new instructors and new styles of dance in a comfortable environment without a long commitment.

🎭 Musical Theatre Mini Session
Kindergarten–High School | 6-Week Session
Sundays, October 4 – November 8, 2026 (6 weeks)
- 1:00-2:00 pm 6th grade – 8th grade
- 2:00-3:00 pm Kindergarten – 2nd grade
- 3:00-4:00 pm 3rd grade – 5th grade
- 4:00-5:00 pm High School
Lights, camera, ACTION! 🌟 Join us at Encore Academy of Dance for a fun-filled 6-week Musical Theatre Mini Session designed for students in Kindergarten through High School!
Classes are separated by age so every student can learn, create, and perform in an environment that is comfortable, encouraging, and age-appropriate. Whether your child loves being center stage or is looking to build confidence speaking in front of others, this session has something for everyone!
Throughout the six weeks, students will explore:
🎭 Acting & Theatre Games – Build creativity, imagination, and performance skills through fun games and activities.
🎤 Public Speaking & Confidence – Practice using a strong voice, speaking clearly, and becoming more comfortable in front of an audience.
💃 Movement & Dance – Add a little dancing and stage movement to bring characters and scenes to life.
🎬 Character Development – Explore different characters, emotions, and ways to tell a story on stage.
🤩 Teamwork & Creativity – Work together, make new friends, and discover the excitement of putting on a show!
The session will end with a short performance for family and friends, giving students the opportunity to showcase everything they have learned and experience the excitement of performing!
No previous acting, dance, or theatre experience is required—just come ready to play, create, build confidence, and have fun!

Feel fun, fit, and sexy with combinations, floor work, and mindset development as we learn to master those heels. Of course, if you would rather bring out your inner-sexy without the pumps, you can take the class with flat shoes, no shoes, or sneakers. Whatever is most comfortable for you!
