Encore Academy of Dance recognizes the hardships that the novel coronavirus pandemic has caused in our community. We strive to continue providing the local area with high-quality dance classes through Zoom and by following CDC guidelines in studio. Encore Online! provides our students with the opportunity to take classes from home if they are not ready to come back into the studio.
Although we recognize that dance classes may not be your first priority at this time, please keep in mind that beyond dance technique, continuing (or beginning) classes at our studio provides:
- Social-Emotional learning
- Connection with peers
- A break from the academic Zoom class
- An emotional outlet
We are a small business and can’t do it without you. We value you, we appreciate you, and most of all, we care for your wellbeing. If there is anything that Encore Academy of Dance can do to support you and your family, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Encore Online! is our hybrid model of classes.
Registered student will be able to livestream their class via Zoom. All classes have this option.
To protect our students, families, and staff, Encore Academy of Dance has implemented the following protocols.
Currently all dancers coming into the studio for class will need to come dressed in their class dress code with a cover up on, bring a dance bag labeled with their full name and emergency contact information, bring a water bottle labeled with their full name, hand sanitizer attached to their bag, a hand towel (for barre work), a yoga mat or towel (for floor work), a plastic bag to put their street shoes in and a mask. The dressing room and lobby will be closed.
Please make sure you are aware of your dancer’s dress code for all classes. Visit http://encoreacademyofdance.com/dress-code/ for more information. Encore does have some dance wear in stock and all shoe sizing kits available to size your dancer. For dance wear that needs to be ordered you may visit Curtain Call for Class at bit.ly/2lcnhUa.
We do have layered Encore masks and filters, Encore hand towels, Encore sanitizers with clips and Encore water bottles for sell. If your dancers needs any of these things, please contact us ahead of time, and we will have them ready to go when they come into the studio for their first class.
Please have your dancer at the studio 15 minutes prior to the beginning of their class time for them to get checked in and get settled. At this time all dancers will need to be dropped off at the door, temperature checked, hands sanitized and socially distanced into their personal space in the studio.
After class dancers will be dismissed from their studio, hands sanitized and escorted to the exit door to be picked up by their parent. During dismissal time the instructors will be cleaning the studio floors and surfaces preparing for their next class.
Any dancer that complains of not feeling well while at the studio will be escorted to the front desk and parents will be called immediately to pick them up.
Any dancer that does not feel well should stay at home and participate in class virtually. Any dancer who has a sick family member should stay home and attend class virtually. Any dance that has been directly or in-directly exposed to someone with COVID-19 should notify the Encore director immediately.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are available via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (919) 383-5048.
